What does that mean for a university careers service?
For Learning to Leap’s latest podcast, I caught up with Claire Aydogan, appointed a year ago as Head of Careers at Leeds Beckett University. With a cross-sector background in call centre management, HR business partnering, outplacement and careers consultancy, Claire brings strong customer service, learning and organisational development experience. She is making an immediate impact as her team adopts and adapts to new concepts and practices in the digital age. They won a prestigious internal award this year from the Students’ Union and Centre for Learning and Teaching.

University Careers Services can help students in ways which can be life-changing for them – from a workshop for writing an attractive LinkedIn profile to networking with a future employer and much more. As Claire points out, Leeds Beckett University’s Careers Service is also available for students up to 5 years after they graduate.
